FISHERIES BIOLOGIST II DFWRC FISHERIES PROGRAM (DFWRC–Division of Fish, Wildlife, Recreation and Conservation) NATURAL RESOURCES DEPARTMENT – POLSON, MT The Fisheries Biologist II is a technical and skilled professional position, responsible for planning, organizing, and carrying out field and office work related to assessing the fisheries of the Flathead Reservation and identifying factors impacting those fisheries. May require training and certification in the safe use of SCUBA diving equipment and techniques, electrofishing techniques, and the safe operation of a motor boat. Knowledge of ecological principles, basic statistics, population dynamics, related life sciences, chemistry and physics related to fisheries management, and the principles of fisheries biology.
